This is an app that is being used as part of a scientific project by a team of researchers at Southampton University and UCL. Participants use this diary to anonymously keep a record of any memories they may experience from a film they watch during the study.

This app can only be used by pre-registered participants. You should only download and use this app if you are a part of this study, and have been instructed to do so by the experimenters.

In this diary, memories can be categorised as an image, a thought, or both. An image refers to a mental picture in the mind, which could include any of the five senses. A thought refers to words or phrases ("verbal thoughts"). The app also allows the user to record a brief description of each memory as well as its corresponding vividness and distress. Participants can specify the day that the memories occurred on as these days could have been different to the day that the memories were recorded on.

The app will send you a reminder notification once a day to remind you to fill in the diary. It is important to note that a participant can only add new memories when an internet connection is available. The app will not work without an internet connection in which case it is suggested to write the memory information elsewhere on your phone until you have an internet connection to write them in the app.
